John Snow, Jr.

John is currently serving his fourth term as Town Supervisor.  Before taking office in 2018, he served as the Deputy Supervisor for eight years and was appointed Budget Officer in 2010.  He continues to hold that position today.

He is a member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the U.S. and Canada and is an active member of the NYGFOA where he serves on the governing board and is a member of the Legal and Legislative Commitee.  In 2018, he became the second town supervisor in NYS to attain the title: Certified Town Official from the Association of Towns.

Professional development is very important to John.  In April 2022, he graduated from NYGFOA's Government Finance Institute (Advanced Level) and holds professtional certificates in asset management planning and infrastructure financial management.

John worked for the Hannibal Central School District as the high school academic interventionist for 15 years as well as being a full-time town supervisor.  Recently he took a position as an accountant in the Oswego County Treasurer's Office.  He is the pastor and pianist for the Jacksonville Faith Community, is an active member of Bowens Corners UMC, and lives in South Granby.
